How to make jump ropes for
Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes

This YouTube video is four minutes long, so we've split it into three different starting points. You can watch the whole thing or jump straight to the section you want to watch.

The woman in the video is using old t-shirts, but our kits are made from old sheets. It's the same process either way.

  1. Measuring
This starts where she's measuring out sections and then shows how to tie a knot at the beginning of the rope.
  2. Braiding
This starts where she's braiding them.
  3. Connecting
This shows how to connect two smaller pieces to make a longer section, in case any of your strands are too short.
Lots of individuals and churches are joining in this project. These pictures are mostly from OCC's Facebook page.
